May you have warmth when you are cold and a cool breeze when you are hot;
May you be dry when the rain pours down, but may you always have clean water to drink when it's dry;
May you preserve peace and memories on shores both near and far;
May you feel the loving embrace of your dear ones as you patrol hostile lands at our behest;
May you be protected by God's grace and your own sharp instincts;
May you be shielded from bullet, blast and blasphemy
May you not remember, yet never forget;
May you be calm, but not passive; and
May you come home whole in spirit, mind and body.
To those who have served and are serving in our armed forces, thank you from the depths of our hearts for all that you and your families have sacrificed to ensure that our soil remains ours and our rights remain within reach. We must never underestimate the amazing job our soldiers do in hopes that our children will not have to fight these wars. We salute you this Memorial Day. Enjoy the holiday. Over and out...
