I have always enjoyed looking at baby name lists both before having kids and even after. In case you are still in the market for baby names, or just like looking at the lists as I do, here are a few links for you as a follow-up to Monday’s post on baby names.
Are you curious what the top names of the last decade are? If you have kids and your kids go to daycare and/or school I'll bet you can guess some of the top names on this list:

The Scoop
Are your names or your kids' names in the list of top names from the past 10 years? On Wednesday, I'll post about the power a name holds and whether a name can predict success in business, etc. Over and out…
Anna
Oh yes! I OBSESSED Over these when I was pregnant and still looked for the first four years after Boo Boo La La was born. The reason? My name was Lisa Ann and I was born in 1967. My parents get an F- for creativity in naming me - I did not wish the same for my child. I wanted creative, but not CRAZY. As it stands her name hovers in the SS websites 820-970's for popularity behind such gems as Serenity (135), Jazlyn (535), and Esperanza (676). http://www.mommysnest.com/2010/01/rewind-that-demonstrates-just-how-crazy.html

Good to know I am not the only one obsessed with baby names. I still check the SSA status of our names! My boys's names are still way down on the list! DH & I have more "popular" names - worldwide it turns out!
Thanks for the comment!

Tamara,
Thanks for the comment. I have a cat named Olivia (Livi, Liv, Lulu, Lulabelle)- she's 13 now. I thought I was being pretty original too. It's funny how a trend can start. Olivia is stil a beautiful name though!
Thanks for reading and commenting!I hope you like the post tomorrow too. I think it sounds like a good subject. We'll see....

I love the SSN site with it's graphs about when names were popular and suggestions for similar names. I could look at it for hours. NERD.
My kids names, surprisingly, are not on the lists in this post. Though if No. 3 was a boy, I wanted Aiden (had NO idea that was so popular) and DH wanted Joshua.
I was exactly in Lisa's place when naming my kids. I was born in 1979 and named Jennifer. F- And I didn't want that for my kids. Their names turned out to be more popular/common than I realized but not in the realm of Jennifer. (They are Grace, Connor and Eleanor/Ellie for those reading who aren't Anna. LOL)

Jen, I feel the same way about names. I love looking at graphs and meanings, etc. It definitely took us a while to find the "perfect" names. Ironically, my name and DH's names seem fairly popular now, but weren't so much when we were kids. Even still, we wanted to choose names that were fairly rare and unique. Your kids' names ar great!
Thanks for reading!
