With a little research, I found a word for coffee in over 60 languages, and many of them start with k or c and sound like "coffee." So, my coffee-loving friends, never fear. No matter where in the world you happen to be, you will likely be able to communicate with kindred coffee-loving brethren despite any language barriers and find coffee. And on that note, I have a winner of the $40 Caribou Coffee Gift Card Giveaway! Her name is Lisa, but she hasn't checked her email yet so she doesn't know she won. If your name is Lisa and you entered this Giveaway, please check your email.
Thanks to all who entered to win and shared your holiday memories and traditions. I loved reading them. Many are the same as mine: making cookies, going church services, etc. Next month I will have a Giveaway that promises to pamper and protect your skin. Enjoy a hot, but not too hot (remember the scalding coffee case) "cuppa java" on this cold, snowy (at least in Minnesota) Saturday. I'm having mine right now while the Darling Boys and DH frolic in the new fallen snow.
You have a few more hours to get your opinion in on the Sunday Spotlight Article regarding the danger of swing sets and whether such equipment should be removed from playgrounds. People have some definite thoughts about this one. I'll post a summary of readers' opinions and my take on it later today. Be sure to come back tomorrow for the next Sunday Spotlight Article. Next week I'll take a look at domestic violence and why it increases during the holidays and what to do if this happens in your home or that of friend or family member. Over and out…
